Sociedade Esportiva e Recreativa Caxias do Sul’s badge is a circular, gear-shaped emblem in garnet, blue and white. The centre contains the words “SER Caxias do Sul,” with “Caxias” emphasized across a white horizontal band and the founding year 1936 placed near the lower part of the mark.
The initials stand for Sociedade Esportiva e Recreativa, while the club name links the badge directly to Caxias do Sul, in Rio Grande do Sul. The garnet, blue and white colours come from the club’s historical identity, inherited from Grêmio Esportivo Flamengo.
Caxias traces its roots to 10 April 1935, when Rio Branco and Rui Barbosa merged to form Grêmio Esportivo Flamengo. In 1971, Flamengo’s football department briefly joined Juventude to create Associação Caxias de Futebol, before the split in 1975 and the adoption of the current SER Caxias do Sul identity.
The modern badge keeps the club’s city name, initials and colour palette as its main historical anchors.
