Süper Lig is the first division in Turkey. It was founded in 1959 and currently features 18 clubs. The 2024–25 champions are Galatasaray. Most titles: Galatasaray (25), Fenerbahçe (19), Beşiktaş (16). Relegation is to the TFF First League; the league is played as a double round-robin (home and away against every opponent), and the lowest-ranked sides are relegated each season, with the exact number of relegated clubs adjusted when the league size changes. European qualification: 2 spots for the UEFA Champions League, 2 for the Europa League (including the Turkish Cup winners), 1 for the Conference League.
