The USL Championship is a professional men’s soccer league in the United States and the second tier of the American soccer pyramid. It features clubs from across the country competing in a regular season followed by conference playoffs and a league final. The current USL Championship title holders are Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, winners of the 2025 final against FC Tulsa after a penalty shootout. The competition has featured recent champions including Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, Phoenix Rising FC and San Antonio FC. The league does not use promotion and relegation in its current structure.
