The Israeli Premier League, also known as Ligat ha’Al, is the top division of Israeli football. Founded in its current form in 1999, it currently features 14 clubs and uses a regular season followed by championship and relegation rounds. The current Israeli Premier League champions are Hapoel Be’er Sheva, winners of the 2025–26 season. The club with the most Israeli top-flight titles is Maccabi Tel Aviv. Each season, the lowest-placed clubs are relegated to Liga Leumit, Israel’s second division.
