Categoría Primera A is the top division of Colombian football and is officially branded as Liga BetPlay DIMAYOR. Founded in 1948, it currently features 20 clubs and is organized by DIMAYOR. The Colombian season is split into two independent tournaments, Apertura and Finalización, each with its own champion; the most recent completed titles were won by Santa Fe in 2025-I and Junior in 2025-II. The club with the most Colombian league titles is Atlético Nacional, followed by Millonarios and América de Cali. Relegation is decided through a multi-season average table, with the lowest-ranked clubs moving down to Categoría Primera B.
