Serie A is the top division of Italian football. Founded in 1898, it has used a national round-robin league format since the 1929–30 season and currently features 20 clubs, with each team playing 38 matches per season. The current Serie A champions are Inter Milan, winners of the 2025–26 season. The clubs with the most Serie A titles are Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan. Each season, the bottom three clubs are relegated to Serie B, while the top clubs qualify for UEFA competitions, including the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, depending on league position, domestic cup results and UEFA qualification rules.
