Allsvenskan is the first division in Sweden. It was founded in 1924 and currently features 16 clubs. The 2025 champions are Mjällby AIF. Most titles: Malmö FF (24), IFK Göteborg (18), IFK Norrköping (13). Two clubs are relegated each season to Superettan; double round-robin, 30 matchdays and the 14th-placed team plays a two-legged relegation play-off against the 3rd-placed club from Superettan. European qualification: 1 spot for the UEFA Champions League, 1 for the Europa League via the Svenska Cupen winners, and 2 for the Conference League through league positions.
