Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, commonly known as Brasileirão Série C, is the third division of Brazilian football. First contested in 1981, it sits below Série A and Série B and above Série D in the national league pyramid organized by the CBF. The 2026 season features 20 clubs and is the final edition under the current 20-team structure before the competition is expanded. The first stage is played in a single national group, with the top eight advancing to the promotion stage, the top four earning promotion to Série B and the bottom two being relegated to Série D. Ponte Preta is the defending champion after winning the 2025 Série C title.
