Campeonato Brasileiro Série B (Brasileirão Série B) is the second division in Brazil. It was founded in 1971 and currently features 20 clubs. The 2025 champions are Coritiba. Most titles: Coritiba (3), followed by América Mineiro, Botafogo, Goiás, Palmeiras, Paysandu and Red Bull Bragantino (2 each). For the 2026 format, the top two clubs are promoted directly to Série A, clubs finishing 3rd to 6th enter promotion play-offs for the remaining two spots, and the bottom four clubs are relegated to Série C; double round-robin, 38 matchdays. Continental qualification: no direct Copa Libertadores or Copa Sudamericana places are awarded through Série B.
