Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, commonly known as Brasileirão Série B, is the second division of Brazilian football. Founded in 1971, it currently features 20 clubs competing in a national double round-robin league format, with each team playing 38 matches per season. The most recent Série B champion is Coritiba, winner of the 2025 season. Coritiba is also the competition’s all-time most successful club, followed by clubs such as América Mineiro, Botafogo, Goiás, Palmeiras, Paysandu and Red Bull Bragantino. Each season, the top four clubs are promoted to Brasileirão Série A, while the bottom four are relegated to Série C.
