The Azerbaijan Premier League, officially known as the Misli Premyer Liqası, is the top division of Azerbaijani football. Founded in 1992 and organized in its current Premier League structure since 2007, it features 12 clubs in the 2025–26 season, with each team playing 33 league matches. The current Azerbaijan Premier League champions are Sabah, winners of the 2025–26 season and the first league title in the club’s history. The most successful clubs in the competition’s history are Qarabağ, Neftçi and Kapaz. Each season, the lowest-ranked club is relegated to the Azerbaijan First League, with promotion from the second tier reshaping the following season’s lineup.
