The Kazakhstan Premier League is the top division of Kazakh football. Founded in 1992 after Kazakhstan became independent, it is currently organized as the OLIMPBET Premier League and follows a calendar-year season because of the country’s climate. The 2026 season features 16 clubs, expanded from the previous 14-team format, with clubs playing across the spring-to-autumn domestic season. Kairat Almaty are the defending champions after winning the 2025 Kazakhstan Premier League title. The league’s most successful clubs include Astana, Kairat Almaty and Irtysh Pavlodar. Teams at the bottom of the table are relegated to the Kazakhstan First League, with promotion places awarded from the second tier.
