The Eredivisie is the top division of Dutch football. Founded in 1956, it is organized under the Dutch professional football system and features 18 clubs competing in a double round-robin format, with each team playing 34 matches per season. The current Eredivisie champions are PSV Eindhoven, winners of the 2025–26 season. The clubs with the most Eredivisie titles are Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord. Each season, the lowest-ranked clubs are relegated to the Eerste Divisie, with promotion and relegation places decided by the final table and play-off rules set by the league.
