The Eredivisie is the first division in the Netherlands. It was founded in 1956 and currently features 18 clubs. The 2024–25 champions are PSV Eindhoven. Most titles: Ajax (36), PSV Eindhoven (26), Feyenoord (16). Two clubs are relegated each season (17th and 18th); double round-robin, 34 matchdays, and the 16th plays a promotion/relegation play-off against high-placed Eerste Divisie (Keuken Kampioen Divisie) clubs. European qualification: 3 spots for the UEFA Champions League, 2 for the Europa League (including the KNVB Cup winner), 1 for the Conference League via European play-offs.
