Gaziantep FK’s badge is a red, black and white shield with “GFK” at the top, a black falcon in the centre, a stylised three-dimensional “G” shape behind it, and the foundation year 1988 at the bottom.
The falcon connects to the club’s “Şahinler” identity, meaning “the Falcons,” while the “G” form refers to Gaziantep and the club’s initials. The 1988 date marks the club’s foundation as Sankospor, before later name changes to Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor, Gazişehir Gaziantep and finally Gaziantep Futbol Kulübü.
The club adopted its current city-wide identity in 2019 after reaching the Süper Lig for the first time. The modern badge keeps that newer Gaziantep FK name while retaining the 1988 origin date and the red-black visual identity now associated with the club.
