Azerbaijan’s national team badge uses the AFFA emblem: a stylized football turning into three flame-like shapes in blue, red and green, with the white crescent and eight-pointed star from the Azerbaijani flag placed inside the red flame. The blue “AFFA” wordmark sits below the symbol.
The flame design refers to Azerbaijan’s traditional identity as the “Land of Fire,” while the blue, red and green colours come directly from the national flag. The crescent and star further connect the badge to Azerbaijan’s state symbolism.
AFFA stands for the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan, the body that governs the national team. The current logo was approved in 2010 and replaced the earlier federation mark with a more modern football-and-flame identity.
