Guatemala’s national team badge is a light-blue and white emblem built around a stylized flying quetzal, with the initials “FFG” below. The bird is drawn in sweeping geometric forms, creating both the body of the quetzal and a shield-like football identity.
The quetzal is Guatemala’s national bird and one of the country’s most important national symbols, associated with freedom and independence. The blue-and-white palette connects the badge to Guatemala’s flag and to the national team’s “La Azul y Blanco” identity.
The current crest was introduced in 2025 as part of a new visual identity for Guatemalan football. It replaced a more traditional federation mark with a cleaner symbol focused on the quetzal, national colours and modern team branding.
