Bristol City’s badge is a red roundel with a stylised black-and-white robin at its centre, a small “1894” date to the left and “BRISTOL CITY” in white lettering around the edge. The minimalist bird, drawn in a few bold curves, sits on a white field and echoes both the club’s red-and-white colours and their long-standing nickname, “The Robins.”
The robin first appeared on a City shirt badge in 1949 and featured prominently from 1976 to 1994 before being dropped in favour of crests based on the city coat of arms; its 2019 return, designed by local agency Mr B & Friends after fan consultation, was timed to mark the club’s 125th anniversary and to give City an instantly recognisable symbol they could fully own.
