Georgia’s national team badge is a deep red shield with a white figure of Saint George on horseback, shown spearing a dragon. The design is minimal and uses only the white symbol against the Georgian red field.
Saint George is one of Georgia’s most important national and religious symbols and appears on the country’s coat of arms. On the football badge, the mounted saint and dragon connect the team to Georgian heraldry, Christian tradition and the national nickname “Jvarosnebi,” meaning “the Crusaders.”
The current national-team identity was introduced by the Georgian Football Federation in 2022 as part of a wider rebrand for all Georgian national teams. It separated the team crest from the federation’s institutional logo, giving the national side a simpler symbol built around Saint George.
