Fluminense’s badge is a pointed shield with a thin white outline, split horizontally into a deep garnet upper half and dark green lower half, dominated by a large, flowing white “FFC” monogram whose interlaced letters fill almost the entire crest. That monogram stands for Fluminense Football Club and, according to club histories, was refined in 1904 when the shield first adopted the three tricolour bands and a grouped “FFC,” replacing an earlier, simpler mark.
