SD Eibar’s badge uses an inverted triangular shield with a dark-blue border, a white main field and a blue diagonal side panel carrying the name “SDEIBAR.” A claret Saint Andrew’s cross sits in the centre, while a vintage yellow football appears above the shield.
The Saint Andrew’s cross comes from the coat of arms of Eibar, connecting the badge directly to the Basque town the club represents. The blue and claret colours are the club’s famous azulgrana identity, first worn in the 1943–44 season after kit donations from the Gipuzkoan Football Federation.
SD Eibar was founded in 1940 as Eibar Football Club after the merger of Deportivo Gallo and Unión Deportiva Eibarresa. It later adopted the Sociedad Deportiva Eibar name used today.
The current badge keeps the design deliberately simple: town symbol, club name, football and colours, reflecting Eibar’s compact local identity rather than a complex heraldic crest.
