Coritiba Foot Ball Club’s badge is a green-and-white circular emblem topped by a gold star. The outer ring carries “Coritiba Foot Ball Club” and “Paraná,” while the centre features the initials “CFC” over a globe-like circle with striped upper and lower sections.
The club’s statute defines the circle as a representation of the globe, with the striped areas recalling polar caps in relief. The “CFC” initials stand for Coritiba Foot Ball Club, and “Paraná” connects the badge to the club’s home state. The green and white are Coritiba’s traditional colours and also match the colours of the Paraná state flag.
Coritiba was founded in 1909 as Coritibano Foot Ball Club and adopted the name Coritiba Foot Ball Club in 1910. The club has used several badges since its foundation, but the modern identity is built around the circular emblem, the CFC monogram and the green-and-white colour scheme.
The gold star above the badge marks Coritiba’s 1985 Campeonato Brasileiro title.
