Bologna’s badge is an oval crest divided into two main fields, with “BFC 1909” in white on a dark blue upper panel, vertical red-and-blue stripes on the left below, and a red cross edged in blue on a white ground to the right, all framed by a pale platinum border. The rossoblù stripes represent the club’s historic colours, adopted from its earliest kits.  The red cross on white is lifted from Bologna’s civic banner and coat of arms, anchoring the emblem in the city’s heraldry.  

The “BFC 1909” inscription, added after the club’s 1993 refoundation, highlights both name and founding year, while a 2018 refresh darkened the red and blue tones and replaced the old gold outline with the current platinum-style border without altering the basic layout.
