Atalanta’s badge is an elongated oval split into blue and black halves, featuring a white profile of a woman with flowing hair in the centre, encircled by the club name “ATALANTA” above and the founding year “1907” below.

The emblem depicts Atalanta, the swift Greek mythological heroine whose name the club adopted and from whom the nickname La Dea (“The Goddess”) is derived. The goddess first appeared on the crest in 1963 as a running figure alongside the nerazzurri stripes, before a major 1980s redesign reduced her to the stylised head that still defines the logo today.  The current oval version, introduced in 1993, simply refined this image and added the text elements.
