Al Taawoun (التعاون) badge meaning and origin

Al Taawoun Football Club’s badge uses a dark blue shield with yellow and white borders. The club name appears in Arabic and English across the top, while the centre features a yellow wolf head inside a star-like frame. The foundation year 1956 is placed at the bottom of the shield.

The wolf reflects Al Taawoun’s nickname, “Al-Dhiyaab,” meaning “The Wolves.” The yellow and dark blue colours are the club’s official football identity, and the shield format gives the badge a traditional club-crest structure.

Al Taawoun is based in Buraidah, in Saudi Arabia’s Al-Qassim region. The club was founded in 1956 under the name Al-Shabab and was officially registered in 1960.

The current badge keeps the core Al Taawoun identity clear: the bilingual name, the 1956 foundation date, the yellow-and-blue colours and the wolf symbol linked to one of the club’s best-known nicknames.
