Wolves replace regular badge with city coat of arms for 150th anniversary 2026-27 kit

Wolverhampton Wanderers have unveiled their 2026–27 home kit, with the club’s usual wolf-head badge replaced by the Wolverhampton city coat of arms for their 150th anniversary season.

The city coat of arms returns

The crest is the main feature of the shirt. Wolves’ regular badge makes way for the Wolverhampton coat of arms, which returns to the club’s kit for the first time in more than 30 years.

The coat of arms last appeared on Wolves shirts between 1993 and 1996, and was also used on the shirt worn in the club’s 1960 FA Cup final win. This is its first appearance on a Wolves kit since Wolverhampton became a city in 2000.

A historic shade of old gold

The shirt also brings back a more historic version of old gold, chosen after consultation with supporter groups and a public vote on the Wolves App.

Almost 10,000 fans voted, with the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s-style gold winning with 47% of the vote.

Kit design details

Produced by SUDU, the shirt uses black trim on the collar and sleeve cuffs, with Midnite appearing as the front-of-shirt sponsor.

The fabric includes a tonal pattern inspired by the city coat of arms, while the crest itself is applied as a satin-stitched woven badge. A “WW150” anniversary mark appears on the back of the shirt.

Worn in the Championship

Wolves will wear the kit in the EFL Championship as they begin their first season outside the Premier League since 2018.
