FC Porto turn Port wine heritage into a deep-purple 2026–27 away kit
Some kit references simply make sense. For FC Porto’s 2026–27 away shirt, New Balance have looked to one of the city and region’s most recognisable exports: Port wine.

Named “Porto de Honra”, the new away kit draws from Porto, the Douro and the wine tradition that has carried the city’s name far beyond Portugal. It gives the Dragons a deep purple look away from home, built around a reference that feels naturally connected to the club.
A Port wine-inspired away shirt
The shirt uses a rich purple base with soft cream detailing across the New Balance logo, sponsor branding and monochromatic FC Porto crest. Subtle tonal vertical stripes add texture through the body, while a classic polo collar gives the design a restrained, traditional finish.
Inside the collar, the “Porto D’Honra 1893” detail connects the concept back to the club’s founding year. The back of the shirt remains largely plain, with Super Bock branding placed across the upper section.

A Porto reference with real visual purpose
Away kits often provide room for a more experimental colour palette, but this design has a particularly direct connection to place. New Balance describe the shirt as reflecting the journey of Port from the Douro Valley to a global stage, mirroring FC Porto’s identity as a club rooted in its city but recognised internationally.
That idea carries through the whole shirt: the wine-purple colour, understated crest treatment and subtle tonal texture all work around the same reference rather than competing for attention.
The FC Porto 2026–27 away kit is available now through New Balance, FC Porto stores and selected retailers.
