Liga Portugal 2, currently branded as Liga Portugal Meu Super, is the second division of Portuguese professional football. Founded in 1990, it currently features 18 clubs competing in a national league format, with each team playing home and away fixtures across the season. The current Liga Portugal 2 champions are Marítimo, winners of the 2025–26 season. Paços de Ferreira are the most successful club in the competition’s history, with several other clubs having used the league as a route back to Portugal’s top division. Each season, the top clubs are promoted to Liga Portugal, while the lowest-ranked clubs are relegated to Liga 3 and the 16th-placed club usually enters a relegation play-off.
