Real Oviedo’s badge is a tall white-and-gold shield topped by a royal crown, with a blue panel containing a golden cross and the initials “R O” above a classic white football. The blue field and cross come from Oviedo’s municipal arms and the wider Asturian heraldry: it is the Cruz de los Ángeles / Cruz de la Victoria, a historic golden cross kept in Oviedo’s cathedral and used as the main symbol of the Principality of Asturias.
The crown reflects the “Real” title granted in 1925, which allowed the club to adopt royal insignia on its crest. The blue and white colours therefore link the emblem simultaneously to city, region and club identity.
