Racing Club badge meaning and origin

Racing Club’s badge is a tall, light-blue shield with a darker blue outline, topped by a solid band carrying the word “RACING” in white, and filled with three bold vertical white stripes that run down to the pointed base. The layout mirrors the club’s traditional celeste y blanco striped shirts, effectively turning the crest into a miniature version of the kit. Light blue and white were adopted early in the club’s history in reference to Argentina’s national colours, tying Racing’s identity to that of the country. The absence of extra symbols, balls or stars keeps the focus firmly on the stripes and name, giving one of Avellaneda’s giants a clean, instantly recognisable emblem on and off the pitch.
