Girona FC’s current badge is a red circular crest with the words “GIRONA FUTBOL CLUB” in white around the edge, framing an inner roundel of diagonal red-and-white stripes and a central shield. That shield combines a lozenge of yellow-and-red stripes with a lower section of wavy red and white bands, directly echoing the city of Girona’s coat of arms. The upper stripes reproduce the senyera of the old Crown of Aragon and Catalonia, while the wavy section represents the rivers that meet in the city.
The club was authorised to use the municipal emblem on its crest when it was founded in 1930, and modern redesigns in 2005 and 2021–22 simplified the artwork and removed the princely crown while preserving these core heraldic elements.
