Getafe C.F badge meaning and origin

Getafe CF’s badge is a blue circular emblem topped by a classic black-and-white football, with the club name “GETAFE C.F. S.A.D.” running around the ring and the city’s shield placed at the centre. Inside that shield, the left half shows a gold cross on red with a flaming heart, while the right half is green with a repeating pattern of white aircraft silhouettes.

These elements are taken directly from the coat of arms of Getafe: the Sacred Heart of Jesus refers to the famous monument on the Cerro de los Ángeles, traditionally viewed as the geographical centre of the Iberian Peninsula, and the planes honour the nearby Getafe Air Base and the city’s long aeronautical tradition.
