Cesena FC’s badge uses a black-and-white shield with the club name in a white panel at the top. The main field is formed by vertical black and white stripes, with a black seahorse placed in the centre.
The seahorse is Cesena’s defining symbol and directly reflects the club’s nickname, “I Cavallucci Marini” — “The Seahorses.” The black and white colours are the club’s traditional identity and are behind the nickname “I Bianconeri.”
Cesena’s football history dates back to 1940, when Associazione Calcio Cesena was founded. The seahorse became the club’s historic emblem and has remained the strongest visual link between the old AC Cesena identity and the modern Cesena FC.
After AC Cesena folded in 2018, the successor club adopted the Cesena FC name while preserving the core badge identity: black-and-white stripes, the seahorse, and the city’s long-running football tradition.
