AC Reggiana’s badge uses a white shield with a gold border and burgundy lettering around the outside. At the centre is a smaller burgundy-and-gold shield containing a vintage football and the year 1919, marking the club’s foundation.
The burgundy colour reflects Reggiana’s traditional “granata” identity, which has defined the club for most of its history. The football in the middle keeps the design focused on the club itself rather than a civic emblem, while the full “Associazione Calcio Reggiana” wording preserves the historic name.
Reggiana was founded on 25 September 1919 from the merger of Reggio Foot-Ball & Cricket Club and Audace Reggio. The club initially had links to earlier local teams, but granata soon became its established colour and remains central to the nickname “La Regia.”
The badge’s modern structure dates from the early 2000s, with Reggiana returning to the historic name and mark after later financial and corporate changes.
