Cuiabá Esporte Clube’s badge is a green shield with a yellow upper panel, a central obelisk shape, the words “Cuiabá Esporte Clube” across the middle and the founding year 2001 at the bottom. The badge is sometimes shown with stars above it in club graphics.

The obelisk is the key local element: it represents the Geodesic Centre of South America, a landmark in Cuiabá that also appears on the city flag. The green and yellow palette gives the club its auriverde identity, while the Dourado nickname comes from the club’s mascot, a fish associated with the region.

Cuiabá was founded on 12 December 2001 by former player Luís Carlos Tóffoli, known as Gaúcho. Before becoming a professional club, it began as a youth football project called Escolinha do Gaúcho.

Earlier badges used a more detailed shield with green, yellow and white panels, a Mato Grosso map and the foundation date. The current design simplified that identity around the shield, name, year and obelisk.
