Futebol Clube de Arouca’s badge is a circular yellow football-style emblem with blue lines and the letters “F,” “C” and “A” placed around it. At the centre sits the municipal coat of arms of Arouca, topped by a silver mural crown.
The central coat of arms links the club directly to the town of Arouca. It includes Queen Saint Mafalda, olive branches, fleurs-de-lis and wavy silver lines, elements used in the municipality’s official heraldry. The yellow outer shape also matches the municipality’s yellow flag.
FC Arouca was founded on 25 December 1951 and is based in Arouca, in northern Portugal. Its history is strongly local, although the club also developed early links with FC Porto and was listed as Porto’s branch number 40.
The badge has kept a civic identity rather than a mascot-based one, using Arouca’s municipal arms as the main symbol of place.
