Ceará’s current badge is a black shield with a white outline, crossed by a bold white diagonal band carrying the club name “CEARÁ” in black. Above the band sit five white stars in a black field, while below it three vertical black stripes descend toward the pointed base, where the founding year “1914” appears in white. The black-and-white palette reflects the club’s traditional alvinegro identity, already established on earlier striped crests.
The five stars were added in the 2003 redesign to commemorate Ceará’s historic state “pentacampeonato” of 1915–1919, while the “1914” inscription anchors the emblem in the club’s foundation date, tying the modern, stylised shield back to its early 20th-century origins.
