Significado e origem do escudo do Bucaramanga

Atlético Bucaramanga’s badge shows a yellow-and-green shield with large black “A.B.” initials, a white leopard head and a black diagonal tail-like shape crossing the lower half of the crest. The design is built around the club’s traditional auriverde colours and its famous leopard identity.

The yellow and green colours are central to Bucaramanga’s visual tradition and explain the nickname “Auriverdes.” The yellow also connects to the club’s “Leopardos” nickname, which became associated with the team because of its yellow shirts.

The leopard is the main animal symbol of the badge. It represents speed, aggression and competitive character, while making the crest instantly recognizable in Colombian football.

Atlético Bucaramanga was founded in 1949 and is based in Bucaramanga, Santander. The badge keeps the club’s identity direct and historic: the A.B. initials, the yellow-and-green palette, the leopard symbol and the colours worn by one of Colombia’s long-standing professional clubs.
